PROJECT DESCRIPTION

1. Magoffin County 10-1078 (County Route 1774) Replace bridge over Licking River approximately 0.1 miles Northeast of junction with KY-7 (The junction with KY-7 is located at approximately the 4.7 mile post on KY-7).

2. Menifee County 10-1079 Replace bridge and approaches on US-460 over Slate Creek (This bridge is located at approximately the 3.3 mile post on US-460).

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

The Department reserves the option to modify the selected consultant's agreement to include any necessary engineering and/or related services for this project. The firm(s) will at that time be prequalified by the Department in the required area(s).

SCOPE

1. Conduct preliminary engineering studies to identify appropriate typical section, line, and grade, dependable cost estimate, and the preparation for approval of the appropriate environmental document. The environmental document at this time is expected to be CE Level 1.

2. The selected Consultant will be required to provide engineering services to perform Phase II roadway design, including the preparation of any design studies, drainage design, right of way plans, construction plans, traffic control plans, structure plans, erosion control plans and cost estimates.
