Work to begin this week on bridge repairs on Hal Rogers Parkway in Perry County

Work will begin this week on a project to replace the deck and make repairs to the bridge carrying the Hal Rogers Parkway across KY 80 and Big Creek at milepoint 55.97 in Perry County. During this project, traffic will be reduced to one 11-foot lane in each direction. Drivers should be alert for lane shifts and tapers approaching the project area.

Work to begin Monday on KY 11/KY 52 North Fork bridge repairs in Beattyville; long delays likely

Work will begin Monday, Aug. 4, on a project to replace the deck and make repairs to the bridge carrying KY 11 and KY 52 over the North Fork of the Kentucky River in Beattyville. During this project, traffic will be reduced to one lane on the bridge and will be controlled by signals 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

New flashing beacons installed near Beattyville Elementary School

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has installed new flashing beacons and school zone signs in the vicinity of Beattyville Elementary School in Lee County. The additions include new overhead flashers at the crosswalk on KY 11 (Broadway) in front of the school, as well as two new school zone signs with flashers.

Approximately 40 people attend public meeting on KY 30 reconstruction project in Breathitt, Magoffin counties

On Tuesday, March 4, personnel from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of Highways District 10 office conducted a public informational meeting on the proposed reconstruction of KY 30 crossing the mountain at the Breathitt-Magoffin county line. Approximately 40 residents of the area and other concerned citizens attended the meeting at the Middle Fork Elementary School in Magoffin County to view a presentation by District 10 personnel and project consultants, receive information on the project, and provide their input into the design of this highway project.

Bridge painting project on KY 15 to resume next week, traffic delays possible in Perry County
Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2008
Work will resume next week on a $4.6 million project to paint and repair several bridges along the KY 15 corridor in Breathitt, Knott and Perry Counties. Weather permitting, the project will resume in Perry County with work beginning on the bridge carrying KY 15 over KY 80 and KY 550 (Combs Road) and the North Fork of the Kentucky River north of Hazard.
