Cabin Creek Covered Bridge closed to pedestrian use
Engineers assessing storm damage

FLEMINGSBURG , Ky. – The Cabin Creek Covered Bridge in Lewis County has been closed to pedestrian use until further notice.

Storms that swept through the area June 3-4 damaged the bridge's support structure, necessitating its closure due to safety reasons. Visitors should not walk or climb on or near the structure.

At this time, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet engineers are assessing the damage.
