FAST FACTS

Initial data compared KY 32 in the study area to similar Kentucky roadways based on congestion, safety and pavement condition. The result? It received a “fair” rating around Elliottville, and a “poor” rating from the intersection at KY 173 to Newfoundland...

Average daily traffic, or ADT, on the section of KY 32 being studied ranges from more than 3,600 cars a day around Elliottville to a low of 470 at the Rowan-Elliott county line. It approaches 1,000 around Newfoundland...

Public input is being gathered this year. The project will culminate with the identification of alternatives and a second public meeting this winter.
